In 2005 the Founder member of VDFG, Lt Col R S Gaba attended a Yoga shivir at Hardwar and was convinced that ‘Yoga is a Way of Life’. It was evident that the practice of Asanas, meditation and breathwork cultivates a deeper sense of well-being that extends beyond the physical realm and brings balance and serenity in life. Thus he was motivated to bring the transformative power of Yoga for the benefit of all. He became a corporate member and was subsequently appointed a Patron to facilitate Yoga camps in Delhi NCR region by Swami Ramdevji. Through his selfless service for the greater good of the community, Col Gaba embarked on this mission with zeal and enthusiasm and influenced many in the process by special emphasize on Yoga. This not only helped in strengthening community service and well being projects but also unified community, veterans all under its banner.
