Hope Ek Asha works for the care and support of senior citizens suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and dementia (memory loss), along with providing guidance and assistance to their caregivers. The organization delivers compassionate care through a committed team of medical professionals, trained caregivers, and dedicated volunteers, ensuring dignity, safety, and improved quality of life for persons living with dementia.
Dr. Sushma Chawla, a medical practitioner associated with Hope Ek Asha, has been in family practice since 1979. She holds an MBBS degree from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, and has extensive experience in Gynaecology and Obstetrics. She runs her own clinic in Greater Kailash-II, New Delhi, and brings decades of medical expertise to the initiative.
Affectionate Secured Home for Alzheimer’s (A.S.H.A.) is a specialized dementia care home under this initiative, providing a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for Persons with Dementia (PwD). Residents are cared for under the supervision of trained caregivers, coordinators, and medical professionals. A.S.H.A. offers structured and research-based dementia care programs focused on enhancing patients’ emotional wellbeing and quality of life. These include brain-stimulating activities, physiotherapy, specially designed engagement programs, and personalized daily care.
